R420 mit zwölf Pipelines?

Wie The Inquirer berichtet, soll ATIs kommender NextGen-Grafikchip R420/423 statt der 8 Rendering-Pipelines nun über 12 Pipes verfügen.
Als Speicher soll GDDD3 Speicher mit 500 MHz Speichertakt zum Einsatz kommen. Nachdem nun fast alle Konstellationen von Pixel Pipelines durchgespielt wurden, bleibt nur die Frage über wie viele Pipelines der R420/423[/b] wirklich verfügt.

Meine Meinung:
hüpf yeaa ATI ist genial und wird noch genialer sein. hüpf
Nvidia kann ruhig 16 Pixelpipes haben, aber was bringt es wenn die Shader schlecht sind. Nichts.
